Instruments & Display
Before the Technological Evolution and Application of Automotive Digital Electronics, Instrumentation was Mechanical in nature. Speedometers, Tachometers and other gauges used cables, mechanical transducers and sensors to activate a particular device. The development of solid state micro-electronics has enabled solid-state digital circuits and even displays to appear in the automotive market place. These products are more accurate, more reliable and more attractive to the driver of the vehicle.
Because this type of instrumentation is quite different than that used in the past, it requires a different approach to diagnosis and service. Since 1981, Custone Electromotive has been involved in the Instrumentation Service and Remanufacturing for the Canadian market.
Now, with over 35 years of experience in this industry CEI continues to provide consistent support and exchange/service to the family of Instrumentation and Display Products found in many automobile models today. Typically these are products such as:
- Complete Electronic Dashboards (Clusters)
- Electronic Speedometers
- Odometer Assembly
- Tachometers
- Most Gauges
- Driver Information Center (DIC)
- Cathode Ray Tube (CRT)
- Heads Up Display (HUD)
- Digital Ratio Adapter Buffer (DRAB or DRAC)
- Combo Panels
